The owner of SEQ Building & Pest Inspections is a licenced pool fencing inspector and a licenced builder. He is available to carry out minor repairs to make your fence comply. This can save you money as some minor repairs can be undertaken on the day of inspection, eliminating the need for additional call out fees from tradesmen.
Pool safety barrier regulations
- Minimum fence heights of 1200mm.
- Gates must open away from the pool and self-close and lock from all open positions, with no assistance.
- The maximum distance between or below the fence or barrier must not exceed 100mm.
- A current CPR sign must be located within the pool area.
- A 900mm no climb zone must be in place to ensure children cannot use objects to gain entry into the pool area. These include items such as furniture, pot plants, trees, adjoining fences and retaining walls etc.
